In 2008 we are auditioning in 19 cities in Scotland, Wales, England and Ireland, so there should be at least one venue reasonably near you. The full list is published below. This year for the first time we are auditioning in DUBLIN prior to the auditions in Newry, Derry/Londonderry and Belfast.
Before phoning the office to book, make sure you have read all the other audition pages - Auditions, What Happens in an audition, if you get in What Happens Next, what to do if you are a Musician or want to work Backstage.
We make a charge for each workshop and in 2007 it is £22 (30 euros). This helps to cover the cost of the venue, the four staff and the marketing. Even so, to keep the cost of the workshop at the level it is we have received funds from Youth Music and the Scottish Arts Council.
Most days there will be either 3 or 4 workshops. Please note that some of the venues still have to be confirmed. You can still book your audition; keep an eye on this website to make sure you know where the audition is taking place. Orchestral players will be seen 30 minutes before the first audition starts.

Booking for auditions is best done over the phone and you can pay by credit card. If you cannot pay by credit/debit card, please discuss alternatives with the office staff when you book your place. You can just turn up on the day if you want: and we will try and fit you in but cannot guarantee it - it depends on how many have already booked and if anyone fails to turn up.
To book on the phone, choose your venue and make sure that you have the following details available:
A contact phone number
Your email address if you have one
Your parents email address if they have one
Credit card details of the cardholder (if paying by credit card):
name on the card
card number
expiry date
validation number
house number
postcode
Note: that if a parent or other adult is paying by credit card for someone under the age of 16 they will need to be there too.

Once you have booked your audition over the phone, download from this site the Audition Registration Form which you MUST bring with you on the day. You will also need to bring two passport-sized photographs (EVEN IF YOU HAVE AUDITIONED BEFORE!).
Once you have booked your place, you will get no further correspondence from us before your audition - just turn up on the day and at the time you booked.
